Plot: Countdown to Music's Biggest Night aired Wednesday, and if you haven't heard by now, the two exclamation points weren't meant to suggest shock value. The nominations offered no major surprises, though singer/songwriter Bruno Mars matched predicted favorite Adele's six nods, including three for both in the key categories of album, record and song of the year. Kanye West grabbed the most nominations, a total of seven, while the Foo Fighters matched Adele's and Mars' six, including one for album (Wasting Light). Other multiple nominees include Lil Wayne and Skrillex, with five each. Lady Gaga (Born This Way) and Rihanna (Loud) rounded out the album nominees.
