Habeas Corpus

The story follows Inez, a respected law professor who leads a wrongful-conviction review group seeking to prove the innocence of a young man convicted of a crime he claims he did not commit. What Inez doesn't know is that her brightest student, Marina, had a secret agenda when she sought her out — to right an injustice that deeply affected her family in the past. Against the backdrop of a system shaped by inequality and power, Marina and the other students in the group find themselves caught in a dilemma driven by justice and the desire to make amends, as each new discovery triggers another twist.
