This exclusive documentary filmed over two years examines the problem of female genital mutilation, or FGM, which involves the partial or total removal of external female genitalia. It's estimated that some 137,000 women and girls are affected by FGM in England and Wales, and in any given year it's thought that 20,000 girls in the UK are at risk of FGM.
