Plot: Oblivion is a 2013 action science fiction film that stars Tom Cruise playing as a 37 year-old former-Marine Commander Jack Harper, the primary protagonist of the movie who is one of the drone repairmen stationed on earth where his actions lead to an important event that might happen to humanity. Other stars featured were Olga Kurylenko, Andrea Riseborough, Morgan Freeman, Melissa Leo and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau. The setting of the film is in year 2073 where earth was nearly destroyed during an alien invasion 60 years earlier. Jack Harper is one of the last few drone repairmen stationed on Earth. Part of a massive operation to extract vital resources after decades of war with a terrifying threat known as the Scavs, Jack’s mission is nearly complete. His existence is brought crashing down when he rescues a beautiful stranger from a downed spacecraft. Her arrival triggers a chain of events that forces him to question everything he knows and puts the fate of humanity in his hands.
