Watch Series Online
Summertime is streaming season, and July 2026 is absolutely stacked. Whether you’re looking for the biggest blockbusters finally hitting their streaming homes, Oscar-bait originals, hidden gem horrors, or nostalgic comfort rewatches, every major platform is bringing something to the table this month.

We’ve combed through the release calendars for Netflix, Prime Video, HBO Max, Hulu, Disney+, Peacock, Shudder, and more to bring you the definitive guide to what’s actually worth your time. Let’s dive in.
Table of Contents
If you only watch one new movie on streaming this month, make it this one. Phil Lord and Christopher Miller’s adaptation of Andy Weir’s (The Martian) sci-fi novel is genuinely one of the best films of the year. Project Hail Mary stars Ryan Gosling as a mild-mannered science teacher who wakes up on a spaceship with no memory of how he got there, surrounded by dead crewmates, and quickly realizes he’s humanity’s last hope. The film balances edge-of-your-seat survival tension with surprising warmth, thanks largely to a scene-stealing CGI alien named Rocky that you will absolutely fall in love with. It’s moving, thrilling, and gorgeously produced — don’t miss it.
One of the year’s biggest box office hits has landed on Disney+. The Super Mario Galaxy Movie expands the animated universe beyond Brooklyn, sending Mario and Luigi on an intergalactic adventure that’s bigger, bolder, and more visually inventive than the first film. With stunning animation that pushes the boundaries of what Illumination can do, and a surprisingly heartfelt story about brotherhood, this is family entertainment at its finest. It crossed $1 billion at the global box office earlier this year for good reason.
Yes, it’s finally here — nearly two decades after the original. Meryl Streep returns as Miranda Priestly, and Anne Hathaway is back as Andy Sachs in a sequel that’s been worth the wait. The film picks up with Andy as a successful editor facing Miranda in a whole new context — the media landscape of 2026. Sharp, witty, and fashion-forward, it’s the kind of legacy sequel that actually justifies its existence.
Millie Bobby Brown returns in Enola Holmes 3 as everybody’s favorite Victorian-era detective in a third installment that raises the stakes considerably. This time, Enola is heading to the altar when Sherlock (Henry Cavill) is kidnapped, forcing her to balance personal happiness with a life-or-death rescue mission. New director Philip Barantini (Boiling Point, Adolescence) brings a fresh energy to the franchise, and the addition of Himesh Patel as Watson and Sharon Duncan-Brewster as Moriarty gives the series new dramatic weight.
Netflix also added a couple of certified bangers to the library this month. Penny Marshall’s A League of Their Own (starring Geena Davis, Tom Hanks, and Madonna) is still one of the most rewatchable sports movies ever made, and Robert Eggers’ The Witch — the film that introduced the world to Anya Taylor-Joy — is the perfect palate cleanser if you need horror to cut through the summer heat.
HBO Max is having an absolute heater of a month. Beyond the new releases, the library additions alone are worth the subscription price.
The Evil Dead Rise director takes on the classic monster franchise in Lee Cronin’s The Mummy, and the results are as gloriously grotesque as you’d expect. Jack Reynor and Laia Costa star in a story about a young girl who returns years after being presumed dead — but something is clearly wrong. The setpieces are unforgettable (you haven’t lived until you’ve seen a scorpion emerge from someone’s neck), and Cronin’s knack for practical gore effects makes this a horror highlight of the summer.
One of the best Stephen King adaptations in recent memory. Francis Lawrence (The Hunger Games) directs The Long Walk, a chilling story set in an alternate America where 100 teenage boys participate in a deadly walking competition. The last one walking wins everything; anyone who drops below four miles per hour is shot. Cooper Hoffman leads a young cast in a film that’s equal parts suspense thriller and social commentary. Mark Hamill is genuinely terrifying as the man in charge.
Sofia Coppola turns her camera on fashion legend Marc Jacobs in an intimate documentary that’s one of the most talked-about projects of 2026. Fueled by their long friendship, the film offers unprecedented access to Jacobs’ creative process and personal life. Even if you don’t follow fashion, the artistry on display is captivating.
A24 closes out the month with what might be its most intriguing release of 2026. Zendaya and Robert Pattinson star as an engaged couple whose wedding week takes a shocking turn. Director Kristoffer Borgli (Sick of Myself, Dream Scenario) blends romance, comedy, and psychological tension into something that defies easy categorization. This is the one to circle on your calendar.
HBO Max also added a murderer’s row of classics on July 1: Legally Blonde (perfect timing with the Elle prequel series now streaming on Disney+), Deadpool 2, The Killing of a Sacred Deer, Hereditary, The Evil Dead (1981), Hail Satan?, and the Brendan Fraser classic The Mummy (1999). That’s an all-timer lineup right there.
The Radio Silence duo (Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett) are back with Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, a sequel that somehow outpaces the original. Samara Weaving returns as Grace, who’s now created a power vacuum in the satanic cult she survived. Multiple families compete to kill the sisters and seize control, resulting in a blood-soaked action-comedy that plays like Smokin’ Aces with way more exploding bodies. Kathryn Newton, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Elijah Wood, and David Cronenberg (!) round out the cast. Watch it with friends, beer, and pizza.
A woman whose child was murdered spends her life traveling to parallel universes to kill versions of her daughter’s killer. That’s the logline, and the film delivers on that high-concept promise. Premiered at SXSW to strong reviews.
One of the year’s best movies — full stop. The gonzo reimagining of the 1978 faux snuff film stars Dacre Montgomery as a serial killer who uses the original Faces of Death as a blueprint for real murders and uploads them to the internet. Barbie Ferreira plays a content moderator who flags the videos and becomes an unlikely detective. It’s the satirical horror movie that the most recent Scream films should have been, and it’s absolutely essential viewing for horror fans.
July 2026 is a rare month where every major streamer has something genuinely worth watching. Prime Video’s Project Hail Mary is the must-watch of the month — a near-perfect sci-fi adaptation that deserves to be seen by everyone. HBO Max is the best value play, with both strong originals (The Long Walk, Marc by Sofia, The Drama) and a legendary library drop. And if you crave horror, Shudder’s Faces of Death and Hulu’s Ready or Not 2 are both appointment viewing.
Grab your popcorn, cancel your dinner plans, and get streaming — July is going to be a busy month.
