Episode summary:

1998, on a night out on Merseyside with her best mate Anna, Sue Hughes instantly falls for a nightclub bouncer. Anna says he's her uncle Steve. Sue and ‘Ste' spark up a relationship through texting which continues until 2003, when he moves to Las Vegas.Then in 2010 Ste apparently develops cancer and seeks expensive experimental treatment. Sue sends more than £100,000, via her best friend Anna. But finally Sue discovers Anna has been lying to her for 20 years. Anna has taken all of Sue's money and ‘Ste' does not really exist. The person Sue has been talking to for more than two decades was Anna all along.
