Episode summary:

Alan Ross-Harper is looking for his birth mother who gave him up for adoption in 1958. He discovered that he was adopted at twelve years old. After tracking her down, Nicky visits her family to tell them about Alan’s search and Alan’s mum reveals that she has never stopped thinking about Alan. There is an emotional moment when they are all finally reunited. Susan Udy is looking for her daughter who she gave up for adoption when she was 21. For nearly fifty years she has carried the pain ang guilt of giving her up and has held onto the hope that she would one day be reunited with her daughter. The show manages to trace Kerry, learning that her name had been changed to Andrea. Nicky pays her a visit at her home in Bristol, just a few miles from the hospital in which she was born. The cameras follow Susan and Andrea when they are finally reunited.
